The Premium version of CoastKey includes a Start Panel and a 5-button remote (FOB) that works as a wireless kill switch (ECOS). It also enables wireless START/STOP of the engine and ONE remote-controlled function (for example TRIM/TILT).
PRODUCT INFORMATION
If you have a Mercury engine with SmartCraft and an OEM Mercury ignition switch, installation is incredibly easy. The CoastKey Start Panel fits directly into the existing ignition switch opening, and the connectors on the included harness plug straight into the existing wiring. Truly PLUG & PLAY.
If you plan to use the extra function for remote trim/tilt control, we offer different adapters to make the installation even easier. Adapters are available for DTS Gen 1, DTS Gen 2, and Zero Effort (racing) controls. Please see our Accessories section for available options.
**Older Mercury installations, including those with the key switch integrated into the side-mounted control box, require a CoastKey kit with a Cut & Splice harness. The same applies to installations with an aftermarket key switch.
COASTKEY PREMIUM is a complete keyless system with remote START/STOP and remote TRIM/TILT in addition to a wireless kill switch (ECOS).
In addition to the Engine Control Box, Harness and Start Panel (which is mounted in clear view at the steering position), the system is equipped with a 5-button wireless remote control (FOB). Beyond the benefits of using the Start Panel (described below), the FOB can be used to turn on the ignition and start and stop the engine(s) wirelessly. When you have the FOB with you, it is not necessary to enter a PIN code to unlock the panel.
By wearing the FOB at all times, the captain is secured with one of the market’s best wireless man-overboard systems, which ensures that the boat stops if you fall overboard.
With PREMIUM you can remotely tilt the engine(s) up and down.
Handy when you arrive at the boat and can stand on the jetty to tilt the engine(s) down and then start them before getting on board and casting off. This is also useful when launching with a boat trailer.
Even without the FOB, you can always start the boat using the Start Panel, which is mounted in clear view at the steering position. To “unlock” you simply enter a PIN code instead of using an ignition key. It is easy to change the PIN code to restrict access, for example after loaning out the boat.
